I would highly recommend SJ as a driving instructor! He was extremely kind and patient with me as an anxious driver and really helped me build my skills and confidence in the space of a few months, and I have now passed my test first time!

First of all I would like to thank shehzad Javed because such a friendly and very good instructor. During my lessons he taught me lots of things about how to drive safely. He was my first instructor but in the meddle of my lessons I was taking another instructor with red because of that time Javed Bhai was very busy that time my instructor ( red) didn’t took me in my exam because of he got Covid. Then again I contact with sj and tell me everything in details. After that he advised me book some lessons with me and book the test. And then I booked the test I take some lessons with him and finally I have passed my test today morning. I was a great exercise in my life.

Great instructor who has been very supportive and patient throughout my driving experience. We have had many laughs and he has provided me with all the knowledge required to pass my test. I started learning to drive nearly a year ago and SJ was my first instructor and he has supported me the whole way through. He is very easy to talk to and he is a great teacher. He has put up with a lot of my bad driving and throughout this he has always remained confident in me. He never puts any pressure on me and is always willing to help me overcome an issue i may be struggling with while driving. i can honestly say he is one of the best driving instructor someone can have!

The short version: I passed my test with no faults, thanks to Shehzad!
I was paired up with Shehzad through Pass Me Fast, as I needed an intensive course to prepare me for a re-test. He assessed my skills, was steady and kind when I became frustrated at my own mistakes, and he built up my confidence in the unfamiliar vehicle.
As an instructor, Shehzad is very thorough in ensuring that his students not only know what to do, but also how why they should do it. He asks questions to check your understanding, and lets you know when and error is made and how to correct it. As I progressed through each of our sessions, I had the opportunity to correct previous mistakes, and so I went into the test knowing I had the skills to pass. While I was still anxious during the test, I kept falling back on that knowledge, and I was elated to get back to the test centre and find out that not only had I passed, but I had passed without any faults.
I would particularly recommend Shahzad for students who benefit from context and understanding the Why of what they're doing: I don't come from a driving family and while I learned a lot from my previous instructor, there things that I did based on intuition, and couldn't reliably replicate.
Great experience overall - thank you for getting me from tearful wreck to perfect pass in 10 hours!

Started with an intensive course with SJ, I must say what an absolute legend. If you like a direct, stern but funny instructor I would not recommend anybody else.
He supported me and taught me over 30+ hours and after 2 test cancellations he supported me getting my 3rd.
3rd time's the charm I passed and it was all thanks to SJ.

After a bad experience with my previous instructor, SJ has been the best teacher I could have wished for. Being a naturally nervous driver, SJ has always been patient, calm and accommodating with me. I passed my test first time (which I was pleasantly surprised by) and now feel confident that I can drive safely by myself. I would definitely recommend SJ Driving School to any learner, especially if you are anxious about driving, as I have been able to rebuild my confidence at my own pace. Passing my test has always felt long out of reach so I am deeply thankful to SJ’s guidance for making this achievement possible. All credit goes to him!

I would definitely recommend SJ Driving as I passed my test first time. SJ helped me a lot in gaining confidence on the road. He was always patient when I made silly mistakes and guided me through how to do things correctly.
Four days before my test, I had a mock test where I performed really badly, but he helped me get rid of my nerves, reassured me, and calmed me down before the real test. Thanks to his support and teaching, I felt much more confident on the day of my test and was able to pass thanks to him.

The experience that my son Luke had with SJ was amazing.
Luke couldn’t get a test locally so had to book a test in Basingstoke. He found SJ via google and after an initial assessment only had 4 lessons and passed first time.

Had a bad 1st experience with a diffrent instructor and thought of giving up but then I decided to give it another go 1 more time and found SJ and he made lessons enjoyable he pointed out my mistakes quickly and gave me chances to fix it, and now I have passed my test first try.

An excellent driving instructor. As a parent, I’ve seen how calm, patient, and effective SJ is — two of my children have already passed their tests, and I have two more to go. SJ is the best driving instructor ever! Super patient, supportive, and easy to learn from. Every lesson was clear, relaxed, and actually fun, which made learning to drive so much less stressful. After previous experiences with a different driving instructor that left me anxious about driving and led to a hiatus all together, after my first couple of sessions with SJ I felt my confidence improve ten-fold.
I can honestly say that I wouldn't have passed my test first time without his help. His calm and humorous demeanour put me at ease straight away and has left me without any anxiety surrounding my capabilities as a driver. I'm excited to get on the roads, thank you SJ!

SJ is an amazing driving instructor who genuinely cares about his students and their success. He teaches you everything, from the very basics of moving off to feeling completely confident and test-ready. What makes SJ stand out is his personality; lessons never feel strict or uncomfortable, but more like driving with a friend who wants you to do your best. He takes the time to explain everything clearly, from respecting mini roundabouts to keeping perfect lane discipline, things that seem simple but can be tricky under test pressure. Thanks to his patience and encouragement, I passed my test first try with 5 months of driving, and I couldn’t have done it without him. Shehzad was a very good instructor. He was very clear when explaining different techniques which allowed me to pass my test first time, with only two minors. Having a good instructor Is crucial when it comes to the test as it was a representation of everything he had taught me. I highly recommend him as an instructor. SJ is my son’s driving instructor from when he first started and he’s really come on in leaps and bounds. His test is in a couple of weeks time here’s hoping. SJ has been very good to deal with changing lessons easily when we need to and good reports from the sessions with my son. I’d be happy to recommend him to teach anyone to drive.

I passed my driving test first time with zero faults in Basingstoke, which is full of tricky roundabouts and complex roads. SJ was incredible throughout the whole process— he was very empathetic, really understood me, and was always accommodating with lesson times. He genuinely cared about my progress and was just as happy as I was when I passed. He doesn’t just teach you to pass your test; he teaches you how to drive properly and confidently. Very good instructor, in my opinion got even better after becoming full driving instructor. Taught me very well how to pass. Learning to drive with him was good, nice talking with him, great tips and so on. I definetly would Recomend Shezhad. If you're reading it mate; sending my best regards.

I had lessons with SJ and I’m really happy with how it went, had lessons a few years ago but it was quite slow but SJ made sure to get me learning at decent speed and got my test passed with 4 minors first time. Would recommend if you’re looking for lessons in Basingstoke area ✅

took 12 lessons with my trainer Muhammad Shahzad and greatly appreciated the knowledge and rules I learned from him. Thanks to his excellent instruction, I passed my driving exam on the first attempt with only one minor mistake! I passed by driving test on my first attempt. I am really thankful to Shahzad sb for his support in understanding the Basingstoke route really quickly. He really gave me the much needed boost and confidence. His guidance and instructions were good and easy to follow.
His teaching style is good he lets the learner take control of the situation and decide what to do. He only intervene when needed.

I started my lessons with sj after having a little bit of experience with driving my own car. I knew the basics but needed to learn the checks and manoeuvres. Sj is great at explaining how things work with all things driving. I sometimes struggled with certain things like pulling out from a slip road or reverse parking. But with his help, I managed to make sure I could do them. I passed with only 1 minor and I was so happy. Thank u SJ

Brilliant driving instructor. My son took lessons with him and passed his test first time. He had another driving instructor before who didn't teach him very much, but Javed helped him improve loads and was very professional. Thank you very much for your patience, kindness and expertise!

I started with SJ a few weeks before my test feeling like I needed a lot more practice with my driving.
Since I met him he’s been nothing but kind and helpful with his instructions and our day to day lessons. I have always felt comfortable driving in the car with him and never once felt pressured when making a mistake.
